CURBSIDE RECYCLING

Curbside Recycling means pick-up of recyclables one week and green waste the next, on an alternating basis.  See reverse side for pick-up schedule.  Recycling stickers must be on each container and must be facing the street.  There are two different trucks that pick up recycling and garbage.  Please use containers no larger than 32 gallons; 50 pound weight limit.  Green waste may also be tied in bundles no larger than four feet in length and two feet across.  For recyclables, use blue waste wheeler or (2) 32 gallon containers.   

GARBAGE

Garbage means all trash and waste not listed above, EXCEPT hazardous materials.*   Two containers of garbage will be picked up every Monday.  Stickers are not required, however should you have more than two containers of garbage, you may purchase a one-time use tag for each additional container.  The cost is $2.00 each, and they are available at Heritage Ranch CSD and San Miguel Garbage.  Please use containers no larger than 32 gallons; 50 pound weight limit.

*HAZARDOUS MATERIAL MAY BE TAKEN TO THE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION FACILITY ON FRIDAYS BETWEEN 1:00 AND 3:00 PM AT THE HERITAGE RANCH CSD CORPORATION YARD AT NO CHARGE TO RANCH RESIDENTS ONLY.

Holidays – Pick-up is every Monday, even if it is a holiday.

  NO PICK-UP  NEW YEAR’S DAY, JANUARY 1, 2007.

Annual Clean-Up Day- Saturday, June 16, 2007.  Green waste only may be taken to Equestrian and Heritage Road between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm (unless container fills up sooner).  There is no charge.

Christmas Trees- May be cut into three foot sections and set out on green waste collection day.  Please remove stand, decorations, lights, tinsel, etc.

Mattresses and Appliances- Customers may call San Miguel Garbage for free pick-up of one appliance or one mattress per calendar year.  Additional items may be picked-up for a fee.

Part-Time Residents- If you are not at the Ranch to set your recyclables, green waste or garbage out according to the schedule, you might consider making arrangements with a neighbor or you may make arrangements by calling San Miguel Garbage no later than noon on the Friday preceding the Monday scheduled pick-up.  Containers must be clearly visible and accessible.  Mark your can with P/T for part time.
