Office Information

The Heritage Ranch Community Services District provides water and sewer services, solid waste removal, and the retail sale of gasoline to the residents of Heritage Ranch. District office hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. There is always a District employee on call for any water or sewer emergencies. The Board of Directors meets monthly on the third Thursday at 4:00 pm.

Rate Schedule

Billing is bi-monthly. The majority of homes have a 5/8” x ¾” water meter and are connected to the sewer system. The information below is based on this size of meter and connection to the community sewer system. Large water meters are assessed higher fees. Homes with septic systems are not charged a sewer fee. A minimum bill for water and sewer service and solid waste removal is $111.22. The minimum water service includes four units of water. Four units of water equals 2,992 gallons (1 unit = 748 gallons). All water used above four units is charged at the rate of $1.75/unit.

 

Curbside Service

Curbside garbage service is provided by San Miguel Garbage Company for all tracts except 466, 447 and 720. Garbage is picked up weekly on Mondays. Two garbage containers are allowed per week plus two recycling containers (or 64 gallon blue waste wheeler provided by San Miguel Garbage Company) and four green waste containers are allowed on alternating weeks. The District owns and maintains the gas station located on Heritage Ranch Road. The station provides regular and premium gasoline between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. through a credit card payment system.

The District operates a household hazardous waste collection service for San Luis Obispo County. The facility is located in the District’s maintenance yard. Household hazardous waste may be dropped off every Friday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
